ထာမ်ပလိက်:Angle bracket

နူ ဝိက်ရှေန်နရဳ

⟨⟩

Places angle brackets around the input: ⟨input⟩. In paleography and linguistics, angle brackets used to delimit a symbol, letter or spelling. For example, [a] transcribes the sound of the IPA letter 'a', but ⟨a⟩ is the letter 'a' itself.

{{nowrap}} is called to prevent the brackets from separating from the enclosed string at a line break. As a consequence, a long enclosed string will not break, and this template is therefore best used with short strings.

See also {{angbr IPA}}, which formats the string with {{IPAfont}}.
